Kila Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 64 679 757 405, ACN 679 757 405) trading as Kila Marketing (“we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information, and how we comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
This policy applies to our website at www.kilamarketing.com.au and to our dealings with you as a client, prospective client or website visitor.
The personal information we collect
We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our business functions. The information we collect may include:
- Your name, email address, phone number and business or website details, when you submit an enquiry or request an audit.
- The content of any message or enquiry you send us.
- Records of our communications with you, including emails, calls and meeting notes.
- Technical information such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically when you use our website.
You do not have to provide your personal information, but if you do not, we may not be able to respond to your enquiry or provide our services.
How we collect it
We collect personal information directly from you wherever reasonable and practicable: through the contact and audit forms on our website, by email, by phone, and during conversations with us. We also collect some technical information automatically through our website and its supporting services.
Why we collect, hold, use and disclose it
We collect, hold, use and disclose your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and audit requests;
- provide, manage and improve our SEO and digital marketing services;
- communicate with you about your project and our services;
- meet our legal, accounting and record keeping obligations; and
- maintain the security and performance of our website.
We will not use or disclose your personal information for a purpose other than the one it was collected for, unless you would reasonably expect it, you have consented, or we are permitted or required to by law.
The contact and audit forms
When you submit our contact or audit form, we collect the details you provide (such as your name, email, phone, website and message) so we can respond to you. The form uses a hidden anti-spam field and Cloudflare Turnstile (see below) to reduce automated abuse. We do not use the form to collect sensitive information, and you should not send us sensitive information through it.
If you request a free audit, the next section explains what we collect and how it is used.
Our free SEO audit
When you request a free SEO audit through our website, we collect:
- your name, business email address, phone number, website address and the suburb or postcode you are based in;
- a scrambled code made from your IP address (a “salted hash”). We never store your IP address itself. The code only lets us count how many audit requests come from the same connection in a day; and
- whether, and when, you opened your snapshot page and clicked its Book button.
We use this information to:
- run the audit of your website and prepare your snapshot and report;
- prevent abuse, for example by limiting how many audits one website or one connection can request; and
- follow up your request, including letting us know when you open your snapshot or click Book, so we can contact you at a good time.
We only treat your request as confirmed once you click the link in the confirmation email we send to the address you enter. We keep a record of confirmation links that have been used for up to 7 days, so that each link works only once.
Who processes your audit information
We use these service providers to run the audit. Each one receives only what it needs:
- Cloudflare hosts the audit and stores your request, the results and screenshots of your website.
- DataForSEO provides search and Google Maps data. It receives your website address, your business name, the suburb you are based in and the phone number you entered, so it can find your business on Google Maps and compare it with others nearby.
- Google PageSpeed Insights measures how quickly your website loads. It receives your website address only.
- Anthropic writes the plain English summary in your report. It receives the audit results, including your business name, website address and suburb, but not your name, email address or phone number.
- Resend sends the emails about your audit, including the confirmation, your snapshot and our own notifications.
How long we keep it
Your audit, its results and your personal details are deleted 90 days after the audit. After that we keep only a minimal record that does not identify you: the website’s domain, its grade and score, the dates, and what the audit cost us to run. Emails about your request that we have sent or received may stay in our email records, as described under “Security and retention” below.

Service providers we use
We use trusted third party service providers to run our website and communications. These providers only receive the information needed to perform their function, and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations:
- Resend processes and delivers the email that carries your form submission to us. Your form details pass through Resend so we can receive your enquiry.
- Cloudflare provides our website hosting, content delivery and security, including the Cloudflare Turnstile service that helps us tell humans from bots. Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address for security purposes. It also hosts and stores our free SEO audits.
- DataForSEO, Google PageSpeed Insights and Anthropic help us prepare free SEO audits, as described under “Our free SEO audit” above.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4). We use Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use our website so we can improve it. GA4 collects information such as the pages you view, how you arrived at our site, your approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google truncates), your device and browser type, and the actions you take, including submitting our contact or audit form (recorded as a lead event). This information is used in aggregate to measure and improve our site; we do not use it to identify you personally. Google processes this data on our behalf and may store it on servers outside Australia. You can learn more at policies.google.com/privacy, and you can opt out of Google Analytics across all sites using the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Cloudflare Zaraz. We load Google Analytics through Cloudflare Zaraz, which runs the analytics from Cloudflare’s edge network rather than in your browser. Zaraz sets a first-party cookie to measure your visit consistently. It is used only to deliver the analytics described above.
Overseas disclosure
Some of our service providers, including Resend, Cloudflare, Google, DataForSEO and Anthropic, store or process data on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States and Europe. Where we disclose personal information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies for security, performance and analytics. This includes a first-party cookie set by Cloudflare Zaraz to support the Google Analytics measurement described above. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, although some parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
Direct marketing
If you have provided your details, we may contact you about our services or relevant updates. Every marketing message will include a simple way to opt out, and we will stop sending them if you ask. You can opt out at any time by contacting us using the details below.
Security and retention
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. We retain personal information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes described in this policy or to meet our legal obligations, after which we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
Accessing and correcting your information
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Contact us using the details below and we will respond within a reasonable time. There is no fee for making a request, although we may charge for reasonable costs in some cases.
Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles or mishandled your personal information, please contact us so we can investigate. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at www.oaic.gov.au.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its last updated date.
